Kingdom of Gold - the palace of Ashanti Hene

On 2nd May, we visited Kumasi the capital of Ashanti Region. As our official meetings got over around 1 pm, we visited the Manhiya Palace Museam. Here many of the aritfacts used by the royals who ruled Ashanti Kingdom can be seen. These proud people, relate themselves to porcupine. It is said that they are peace-loving, but when others come to fight, they take up arms and give a good fight.
